Accessibility Statement

Last updated 14 September 2026. We serve people with disabilities, so this website has to work for them.

Peniel Healthcare LLC supports people with developmental and physical disabilities. It would be indefensible for our own website to be hard to use, so accessibility is treated here as a requirement, not an enhancement.

Our target

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA.

What we have built in

  • Keyboard operability. Every interactive element can be reached and operated with a keyboard alone. A “skip to main content” link is the first focusable element on every page.
  • Visible focus. A high-contrast focus ring appears for keyboard users and is adjusted on dark backgrounds so it never disappears.
  • Colour contrast. Text and interface colours are chosen to meet or exceed the WCAG AA contrast ratios, and no information is conveyed by colour alone.
  • Forms. Every field has a real, permanently visible label. Errors are described in text, associated with their field programmatically, and focus moves to the first field that needs attention.
  • Status messages. Submission results are announced through a live region, so a screen-reader user hears the outcome without hunting for it.
  • Structure. Pages use correct landmarks and a single, ordered heading hierarchy, so assistive technology can navigate by structure.
  • Reduced motion. Animation is suppressed for anyone whose system requests reduced motion.
  • Zoom and reflow. The layout reflows to 320px and supports text resizing to 200% without loss of content or function.
  • Anchors. In-page links account for the sticky header, so a target heading is never hidden underneath it.

Known limitations

Third-party content that we embed, such as a map provider, is outside our direct control. Where a third party cannot meet our standard, we provide the same information in an accessible form on the page, including our full address in text.

Tell us when we fall short

If any part of this website is difficult to use, we want to hear about it, and we will fix it. We also provide the same information over the phone.

Please tell us the page, what you were trying to do, and the assistive technology you were using if any. We aim to respond within two business days.
